Is it safe to Drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park? – After Congo Uganda attacks are Tourists and self drive Safe?
One of the common question we are getting at the moment is that ‘is it safe to drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park after terrorist’s attacks on Uganda-Congo border?’ We car reliably inform all the tourists and those interested in self drive Uganda adventure that its safe to visit the park.
Currently, its a tourism peak season and people are free to visit any part of Queen Elizabeth National Park without any fear. Self drives are happening through the Ishasha sector to Katunguru without any inconvenience.
It should be noted that on the 24th June 2o23, a school in Kasese district of Uganda was attacked and 41 children were killed by the ADF terrorists. This raised tensions especially on the Uganda-Congo border. This is the area near Queen Elizabeth National Park and this caused some tourists to fear visiting the park.
After the intervention by both Uganda and Congo governments, the area was made secure and we can now confirm that its safe to drive through Queen Elizabeth National Park and enjoy a game drive experience.
