After a leisurely breakfast, start your day one of 3 days gorilla safari to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a Kigali city tour. The driver guide will transfer you to Kigali genocide site to learn more about what occurred during the 1994 Rwanda genocide.
After, expect to also visit the nearby craft markets, plus other cultural or historical sites then get to the hotel for lunch. Once you are done with lunch break, drive through Katuna/Chanika border to Bwindi about 3-4 hours road trip. Day 2: Gorilla trekking and Batwa cultural encounter
Have breakfast early in the morning and later, your gorilla safari experience will begin with briefing on gorilla trekking rules in head offices in Bwindi National Park. It is today that the park official will allocate to you a gorilla group to track then at 8:00a.m, you and the park guide will begin a search for these apes. This may last for 2 to 6 hours and considering the long hours of trekking, ensure that you have some snacks and bottled water.
The gorilla groups to be trekked on Uganda gorilla safari in Bwindi are distributed in Nkuringo, Ruhija, Rushaga and Buhoma. They include Bweza, Mucunguzi, Bitukura, Mukiza, Rwigi, Bushaho, Mubare, Christmas, Mishaya, Nshongi, Katwe, Oruzongo, Kyaguriro, Rushegura, Habinyanja, Kutu, Busingye and Bikingi.
